BBLF Held Successful Business Conference and B2B Meetings in Istanbul
The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) held in cooperation with the Confederation of businessmen and industrialists in Turkey (TUSKON) a business conference and B2B meetings in Istanbul on October 17, 2014.
The event was designed to outline the current economic environment in Turkey, the fastest growing sectors as well as investment and export opportunities for companies based in Bulgaria. Importantly, the visit included direct contacts between Bulgarian and Turkish companies, according to a media statement of the BBLF.
The conference was launched by Mr. Iravan Hira, BBLF Chairman, who presented Bulgaria’s biggest community of responsible businesses, and Mr. Ahmet Ramazan Erdogan, a member of the Executive Board of TUSKON, one of Turkey’s largest and most influential business associations. Both committed to expand cooperation between the two organisations and facilitate contacts between member companies.
Conference attendees were also greeted by Mr. Angel Angelov, Bulgarian Consul General in Istanbul who called for tapping the potential of companies from both countries and intensifying bilateral economic relations.
On the BBLF’s delegation were also Mr. Maxim Behar, BBLF Board member and M3 Communications Group Manager who came up with the idea of the visit; Mr. Gilbert McCaul, BBLF controller and partner at KPMG Bulgaria; and Mr. Petar Velev, BBLF Board member and Credo Web Manager. Special guests included Bulgarian Commercial Attache in Istanbul Mr. Toshko Tomov and Uksel Nalbant, TUSKON Executive Board Member.
The official part of the event was followed by a more pragmatic one: the scheduled B2B meetings of Bulgarian and Turkish companies. Representatives of Walltopia, CredoWeb, Techno Logica, BNP Paribas, Adipharm presented their producs and services to potential Turkish partners selected among TUSKON members.
Business networking with trusted partners is a key priority of BBLF. “The success of our first ever business visit outside of Bulgaria indicates the Forum is a dynamic and vital organisation”, Chairman Iravan Hira said in conclusion.
