Congratulations! But it's not “Congratulations” at all...
In his weekly column "Max's Column" for TBmagazine, Maxim Behar talks about the difficulties and changes in the Bulgarian economy and business and the only force that counts - experience.
For the last ten years every holiday is the same - our e-mails are being filled with bland cards with boring pictures on them, that say nothing. We delete them immediately without even looking at them. I have no idea how it's possible that those who send them don't realiюe that this is not the way for a proper greeting.
It is an insult. A big one!
We could say just "Congratulations" and nothing more in the email but make sure to make it personal, have it written from one person to another, maybe add an emoji or two, but have some tiny bit of respect and make an effort. Thousands of people congratulate their partners and colleagues in the most basic and dumb way.For Christmas - balls, pinecones, snowflakes; Easter - the newly risen God with a kind smile and decorations, like from an icon; for birthdays - pictures with champagne on it and, of course, a box of luxurious candy...
It's awful!
It is unpleasant and repulsive. And it’s time-wasting to delete so many unwanted messages from your mailbox.
So... if you’re going to congratulate someone on something - just write "Congratulations" and add a word or two from the heart in order to make it a real greeting.
