...And a little self-confidence
In his weekly column "Max's Column" for TBmagazine, Maxim Behar talks about the difficulties and changes in the Bulgarian economy and business and the only force that counts - experience.
In the business, we're focused on profits like never before. The post-pandemic and a whole host of other factors and events have changed the world beyond recognition, made us more pragmatic and less creative. This is probably normal, but since one hundred percent of our business is self-made, we are still learning how to deal with crises.
Again - you can't do without good profits. We all pay salaries, rents, have business expenses, we need to grow and invest. It's clear that we constantly need new ideas on how to run our businesses and so the first thing I do early in the morning is read an article about my business that was written yesterday. Naturally, we also need new approaches to management and whoever "sleeps through" them may wake up tomorrow with no business.
But I have always maintained that at the heart of it is... self-confidence. It may be a little, or it may be more than necessary. But I don't know anyone in business who has succeeded without having it. Self-confidence that we can manage the toughest task, leap the greatest distance. Between the business of now and the business of the future.
