Satisfied or not?
In his weekly column "Max's Column" for TBmagazine, Maxim Behar talks about the difficulties and changes in the Bulgarian economy and business and the only force that counts - experience.
Sometimes, we are too dissatisfied, often justifiably so, because we always expect more—from life, politicians, technology, and even our bosses. And thank God for that because otherwise, we would sink into the swamp of mediocrity and be content with what we have achieved, where everything becomes uninspiring.
But in those moments of dissatisfaction, even grumbling, we must remember two important things. The first is straightforward – compare what we had twenty years ago and how we lived to what we have now. Naturally, it's different for everyone, but the standard of living in Bulgaria today, our understanding of a good life, and the opportunities for business and success are incomparably better and increasingly closer to our dreams of a truly "Western European" life. And the second, very important – we are dissatisfied with this and that, different people and so on. But are we satisfied with ourselves? That's where we should start.
