Official Opening of the IV St Petersburg International Cultural Forum

The grand opening ceremony of IV St.Petersburg international cultural forum took place on the new stage of Mariinsky Theatre. Maxim Behar had been specially invited by Andrey Barannikov, General Director of SPN Communications agency.

Well-known cultural figures from Russia and foreign countries, special guests and governmental officials also participated in the grand opening, including UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova, the famous Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko and even President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin who gave a speech on stage. After that the guests enjoyed the art show dedicated to the Russian/Sovie film production. Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Pavel Petrenko, also performed for the audience.
